Saw English Creatives Today.

All were good, but some deserve mentioning.

Mitch's was good. Naturally. Loved the song. And the messed up menu. And ill-timed Monty Python, and the protesters images. Liked a lot of things.

'Dear Mr President' because I know that song. And like that song, and the images served it perfectly.

Anya's just clicked. Her song was "War is Over" the Christmas one. And it just worked. Because other people? Some spoke grand things, but things that we don't feel -things that I don't feel - hers took the same topic but with a different approach. An approach that worked for me.

It made me want to laugh. Not in an amused way, where everything's fine and the sun is shinning and whoops! that man just slipped on a banana. But in a way that makes you want to cry, but crying admits defeat, so you laugh. Laugh in hacking sobs and true amusement and with the knowledge that you're trapped without hope and there's no way out and fighting a losing battle is a really really stupid thing to do. But desperation and hope, are powerful things and you laugh because what else can you do? The fate is already sealed. I know that laughter. The laughter of opression (I guess). I know it well and intimately, because somethings? They only get dulled down and never truly fade from people's memory.

All were good. Some just worked for me.

Burnie's and Anya's were both really good, I really liked Mel and Emily's Not waving but drowning one. Also I think there was another one which was my favourite out of the whole lot, but I'm not sure if it was one of already mentioned ones or something else. Grrr. I think yours would have been really good except no-one could understand the song lyrics. I get this feeling the lyrics and pictures made sense when put together? If so then it was brilliant, it just didn't make a huge amount of sense in Russian.....:).

Yeah, those are the ones I heard were the best. I got a few comments about others but nearly everyone recommended one of those 3. I am so nervous because mine cannot possibly live up to any of those and it's being shown on the same day as Matt and Sarah's

Yay! You liked mine and Steph's creative! :)
I agree with Jason about yours, it would have made alot of sense if it was in english, but i also kind of understood the message you were trying to get across. Anyway i thought yours was good, even though i didn't understand the lyrics.

Joe, relax. Having seen Sarah's and most of Matt's, yours I don't think will stand out as being bad, In fact I think you would have had to try to make it stand out in a bad way, I didn't notice any which I thought stood out as being REALLY bad, except for mine...which I am starting to really dislike now....oh well. If I get a B+ I'll be happy.
